Shoes!

There is not much to say when it comes to shoes. Not that there not just as important as the rest of you outfit, there really just a matter of looks and taste. Personally I like the classic looking shoes like Boat shoes and Loafers normally in some kind of Leather. But you on the other hand may like the complete opposite of what I like and that’s great as well. The wonderful thing about shoes is that there are so many of them. There are hundreds of thousands of styles of shoes. Just go and try some on. keep in mind what your overall wardrobe style is and you are bound to find the perfect pair.

The Blazer.

Blazers are great. The End. In the last few years they have become an essential in a young well dressed mans life. They look great with jeans. Normally a pair of jeans with slight fraying and no holes are best but if you like holes go for it! The jeans make it more casual with out taking away from the blazer its self. If you go for the causal look and can pull it off you can even where a polo under one but I like the oxfords best. If you decide to wear a tie and its not a formal occasion, loosen it a bit and do worry about keeping it perfect straight. Blazers are normally going to be black or navy blue. The black is a little more sexy while the blue is more on the traditional side.

A Polo.

I think that wearing a polo is dependent on the place, your age, and well what you look like in one. First of all let me say that the fit is very important. I know that a lot of places make there polo’s on the large side but you can normally get a "fit" cut or if you have to you can just buy a smaller size. A polo is a casual shirt that looks nicer that a T-Shirt. They are great when going just out to a restaurant, to see a movie, or something like that, nothing special. In some sports a polo is traditional to wear. When playing Golf a polo is very appropriate, and when playing tennis it may be required if your at a club or private court where traditional tennis whites are mandatory. I think that there is an age when you need to stop or limit your use of polo’s (unless it would be appropriate). I myself am 22 so my summer wardrobe is practically centered around them but once your about thirty I think it just looks a little strange. But one of the many pluses of Polo’s are that there sold everywhere. I like Polo by Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, and Tommy Hilfiger, but theses are just a few of the thousands of places. But remember that it doesn’t really matter what brand it is, if it doesn’t fit it just wont look right.

A Cardigan.

The Cardigan was once considered more of an elderly man item of clothing, but has now made its way to the trendy mans closet. The classic Cardigan (such as the one pictured above) consists of four or five buttons in the front and maybe two simple pockets on the bottom front. Nowadays they come with pockets on the Brest and with more ostentatious buttons so you really have a wide variety of options. They come is several different colors and patterns. They have a sense of class about them with out looking to polished witch I like a lot. The great thing about these being more trendy now is that you can find them just about anywhere. If you have a good bit of money to spend you can get them from places like Neiman Marcus or even Gucci, but if you have a limited budget you can get them at places like Forever 21, Rue 21, or you can even hit a good sale some where like Dillard’s and maybe snatch up a big designer brand.

The Oxford Shirt.

The most dependable shirt you could have. I love the cloth its self. its thick but breathable. They look appropriate just about anywhere. During the hot summer you can pair then with a pair of chinos or shorts and roll the sleeves up and you set to go. During the winter pair with your winter coat or blazer with some jeans or chinos. They are sold at the more "Prep" stores such as Polo(My Personal Favorite), J. Crew, Brooks Brother, and other stores with similar styles.

Jeans. Enough Said.

Jeans. They look great and they are comfortable. What more could you want? There are so many different looks and types of jeans I don’t even know where to begin. They have jeans with holes, jeans that are faded, jeans that are tight, jeans that are loose, jeans that are to long, get the idea? I personally like a straight legged jean that’s a little on the darker side and no holes. But its all a matter of opinion when it comes to jeans. I have learned that when you buy expensive jeans , even though you want to cry when you hand over the money, they last longer and keep there look. Lots of stores specialize in jeans. There’s Guess, Calvin Klein, Diesel, Big Star, Gap, and numerous more. I like to get my jeans at Banana Republic. They Fit great and are more reasonably priced than some. Just remember to look at all of them. You will never know witch one you will like.

A Great Pair Of Chinos.

Nothing is as diverse as a pair of Chinos. You can wear them casually or formally. They come in great colors, and go with just about anything. They look great with all shoes, especially loafers or boat shoes. You can wear them in the dead of Summer, or in the dead of Winter. You can buy them just about anywhere, but I prefer places like J.Crew, Polo Ralph Lauren, or Lacoste. Remember, chinos are not just khaki.
